Appendix A summary
In Appendix A in “The Internet” the author takes the reader into a history lesson of the Internet as well as a basic understanding of what the Internet is, its origins and the reason why it was created. Appendix A covers a wide range of topics about the Internet, I learned many details about what makes the Internet works and how a network of physical and electronic hardware it takes to ensure the Internet reaches millions of people around the world. I was familiar with many of the topics in Appendix or had heard the term being mentioned at work, terms such a “node” and “Domain Name” I had heard these terms before but did not know what they were of how it made the network function. What I got from Appendix A was a better understanding of the basic terms of what makes the Internet work and how it functions in the everyday scheme of things.
